Delox was inspired by a sail boat jaunt around the Cyclades islands of the Greek archipelago, and its notes reflect the wonderfully fresh, botanical aromas of the southernmost Mediterranean. The essence of summer, in other words - a fragrance that reflects the feeling of being without a care in the world. Meltemi is the name of the local wind around these parts, and when it blows, it brings the aromas of strong Greek coffee being made on all the boats in the area, the maquis from the land, and the saltwater freshness of the air. The air rustles with the delicate green crispness of hyacinths, Turkish rosewater, and heady, herbal opoponax resin used so extensively in nearby Greek Orthodox churches. Finally, in the base, a thick whorl of Greek honey warmed by the sunshine of amber, like the cinnamon-dusted biscuits prepared by housewives for a refreshment after Sunday mass.
